Vibrant heights

La douce france was really sweet. And hot. After two days with my brother and his family in steamy Toulouse, we went up the mountains near Laruns to see the tour de france in the pyrenees. I cycled up to col du soulor to wait for my heroes, and witnessed a brilliant vibrant atmosphere. I missed the publicity caravan, but was on time for the competition. In a flash the riders dashed by, even uphill… Armstrong was in 3rd place behind the later winner Fedrigo. After them the pack with Contador. All people were so fanatic, and the scenery was magnificent. The peruvians I met gave me their flag as a gift, what about that! You meet people from all over the world there. And after you descend with them, fun. So next time I will be back to watch more tour. It is a great show. Now back to real life…in the office. With sweet memories.
